FILM APPRECIATION
IFA conducts Film Appreciation Courses, on the same lines
as F.A. Courses conducted by
Film and Television Institute of India and National Film Archive
of India, Pune.
The duration of these courses conducted by IFA ranges from
one single day to elaborated syllabus of seven to fifteen
days.
The participants of this course are enlightened with the real
need for Film Appreciation,
which comprises of subjects such as:
History of Cinema,
Language of Cinema,
Process of Film- making,
Art v/s Commercial Cinema,
Cinema and Other Traditional Arts,
Government strategies and so on and so forth
to give an insight into the medium, alongwith practicals
by showing
different kinds and genres of cinema from all over the world.
The participants also get an opportunity to see the first
film ever made in the world, the show of which was an event
in Paris on 28th December 1895. The course also screens and
discusses about the classics and other significant films,
which are the milestones in the history of World cinema.
This course also enriches its participants by providing written
notes, list of books and periodicals on cinema and various
other material.
